Hill positive for Donington races after qualifying
'Frustrating' was how Trade Price Cars Racing's Jake Hill summed up a BTCC qualifying session at Donington Park that was disrupted by three stoppages due to driver's incidents.
After the two practice sessions, Hill felt he had a really good balance in the Audi S3 and was in confident mood for qualifying.
"We worked through lots of set-up changes - I mean LOTS! - and we had a really good balance at the end of the second practice session. Qualifying started well, and we were on for a much better lap time when the Red Flags came out - not once, twice, but three times! On each occasion I was on for an improvement. I'm sure lots of drivers could tell the same story, but most importantly the balance we had was great, and we learned from Brands last time that anything can happen on race day. So let's see.'
Hill starts P22 fro race one with 24kgs of ballast as a result of him being sixth overall in the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship after Brands Hatch.
"We will be pushing hard for sure. I know that starting where we are is a bit frustrating, but we can get in the points and be in the mix come race day. Looking forward to seeing what we can do.'
All three BTCC races are LIVE on ITVHD - Race One at 11.35am - Race Two at 14.30pm - Race Three at 17.15pm
