Hill qualifies in the top-half of BTCC grid at Brands
On a greasy circuit at the opening Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch, 25 year-old Jake Hill showed the car and team's potential by qualifying in 15th for tomorrow's race.
After two very promising sessions in Practice, with Hill taking P11 and P7 on a dry but cold circuit, Trade Price Cars Racing felt confident the local driver could challenge for a top-ten place.
"The car got better with each change we made - the boys did an awesome job to help me improve the car in practice. Frustrating that we then had completely different conditions for qualifying, but it was what it was. We were running comfortably in P8 for most of the session, but weren't able to go quicker as the front tyres were finished. I've learned that being somewhere in the mix is enough to give you a shout. I'm aiming to go forwards in the three races - simple as that! said Hill.
Coverage starts at 10.15am on IT4HD with race one at 11.30am
