HILL RELISHING CROFT BTCC CHALLENGE

JAKE CELEBRATING HIS JACK SEARS TROPHY WIN AT CROFT IN 2013 WITH BTCC CHAMPIONS TURKINGTON, NEAL AND SHEDDENJAKE CELEBRATING HIS JACK SEARS TROPHY WIN AT CROFT IN 2013 WITH BTCC CHAMPIONS TURKINGTON, NEAL AND SHEDDEN
23 year-old BRDC 'Rising Star' Jake Hill heads to Croft for rounds 13 - 15 of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship confident of building on his best-ever weekend last-time out at Oulton Park.

Hill has very fond memories of the North Yorkshire venue "I won my first ever race in Ginetta Junior here in 2009 and had a perfect weekend in 2010 with double win, pole and fastest lap, I made my debut in BTCC with Motorbase in 2013 and won the Jack Sears Trophy, and last year had one of my best BTCC races finishing 6th in race one. You could say I love it here!"

After another strong qualifying effort and three top-ten finishes at Oulton, some close analysis of data from the weekend there has given Hill confidence he can continue his form.

"We found a couple of things where we may be able to find a little more speed, so if they work I'm confident I can again challenge at the sharp end, and of course would love a repeat of last year. I have said all along the car is capable of podium finishes - maybe even a win in the Independent Class - and Croft is a track I just seem to gel with, so let's see."

Hill has one other added twist to his weekend which is causing food for thought - he has been chosen by ITV Sport as one of the drivers carrying their on-board cameras, something that has brought bad luck for those drivers who have carried it so far this season, notably Ingram, Jackson and Morgan last-time out.

"When I had an on-board in my car on my BTCC debut in 2013 I won! I'm not supersticious, and someone has to break this so-called 'jinx' it might as well be me! Hopefully the on-board will just see me celebrating! smiled Hill.

The BTCC cars will practice on Saturday (10th June) morning, then qualify at 16.00 - shown live as always on itv.com/btcc - then races on Sunday 11th June at 12pm - 14.40pm - 17.15pm - and coverage of all the races are LIVE on ITV4 from 11am
