SCOTTISH BTCC HOPES FOR SNETTERTON STAR HILL
BRDC Rising Star Jake Hill heads north to tackle the sweeps and leaps at the tight Knockhill circuit near Dunfermline, keen to build on his best-ever BTCC race weekend last-time out at Snetterton.
TAG Racing’s 23 year-old star driver Hill took three points finishes with a best of 6th in race one, and moved into 6th in the closely-fought ‘Independant’s’ category, having taking P2, P3 and P4 in class in the three races.
“What a great weekend! Really excited to be heading to Knockhill - such a fun circuit - just very tough ‘cos it will be SO close. Hopefully my TAG Racing VW Passat CC will be running as well at Knockhill as it did at Snett - hopefully we can get some more solid points, because after last time out we feel we have really turned a corner with the car. My engineer Dan did a great job as did the whole crew. We shake the car down at Turweston Airfield on Wednesday (9th) and then I’ll be at the circuit getting a few laps in on a track-walk with (circuit expert and Mini racer) Joe Tanner. It’s a long drive from Kent, but it’s always a fun trip and the Scottish fans are awesome! I’m driving up with my Dad and girlfriend and my mate Ben, and my Grandad lives in Scotland so he’s coming too. Should be great!”
