Successful AUTOSPORT International Show for Trade Price Cars Racing
‘A great start to our 2019 programme’ was how Trade Price Cars Racing owner Dan Kirby described the team’s appearance with their 2019-edition Audi S3 BTCC challenger at AUTOSPORT International at the NEC last weekend.
‘It’s been a fantastic opportunity to meet our partners, some potential new partners, media, drivers, team member and of course the amazing fans - and the reaction to the livery has been incredible. Everyone seems really positive about the look - which is still an interim livery as we have several partners we are still finalising position of logos etc - our finally livery will be revealed at BTCC Media Day in March” added Kirby.
The team have of course signed BTCC Podium finisher and Independent-category Winner Jake Hill, and several of his partners were able to visit the ‘show’ and see Hill, plus of course Kirby, team principle Andy Wilmot and AmD team principle Shaun Hollamby to finalise their programmes.
“It was such a great chance to see so many people, and see such a great response to the look of the car - I love it! We had some great meetings, and I caught up with some of the fans, and the fan response has been so lovely to see” said Hill.
Meetings with drivers regarding the second 2019 seat were very productive, but Wilmot was keen to stress nothing had been finalised as yet.
“We’ve had a very interesting conversations, with drivers that we feel would be an excellent addition to the team. Having Jake on-board is important, and getting the second driver to fit-in with our plans will be essential. We are not in any great hurry though, we want to make sure it’s the right driver in every respect” said Wilmot.
The team at AmD Tuning are now busy finalising the build on the second Audi A3, with plans to begin testing at the end of February on schedule.
“The car is well on the way to completion. We are exactly on schedule, we have everything working as planned, and we have a very clear plan of what we our testing and development programme will include” said Hollamby.
“Can’t wait to see it out on track now!”
